David Clayton-Thomas Dies: Hit-Making Blood, Sweat & Tears Singer Was 84

David Clayton-Thomas, the Canadian singer whose gruff, soulful vocals for Blood, Sweat & Tears was an integral part of the band’s late 1960s success with such songs as And When I Die, You’ve Made Me So Very Happy and Spinning Wheel, died yesterday, June 24, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
